Denise McKenzie is a partner in Kirkland & Ellis’s Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s intellectual property group. She has participated in and led both bench and jury trials. Her patent litigation practice includes cases that involve computer architecture, semiconductor technology, computer software and hardware, and Internet-related technology. Her legal victories include a jury verdict awarding patent infringement damages of more than $184 million on behalf of a leading university in a patent litigation case. Ms. McKenzie earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California, and holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of California Los Angeles.
