Cecilia Lofters is responsible for GE Capital’s IP strategy, including acquisition, compliance and protection of IP assets.
Prior to joining GE, Lofters was partner in the intellectual property group at White & Case, LLP in New York. At White & Case, she specialized in IP prosecution, litigation, and licensing. In recent years, she focused primarily in the area of business method patents for financial services companies.
Lofters has written and lectured on claims construction, business method patent prosecution, and trade secret issues. Lofters has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering in addition to her law degree.
