Description: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan or the Austin IT Innovation Center in Austin, Texas three times per week.

Qualifications: 

  • Active license to practice law in Michigan or at least one other US jurisdiction, and (if not admitted in Michigan) the ability to qualify for in-house practice in Michigan
  • 15+ years of law firm or in-house practice providing counsel to corporate clients
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge expertise in software, hardware, IT services, and telecommunication services procurement
  • Significant experience in negotiating complex software and cloud computing agreements with global technology vendors
  • Superb oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to think critically
  • Ability to proactively work with the Executive and other team members to identify and manage key IT/software issues or projects
  • Ability to negotiate and reach consensus with third party suppliers based on company policies, strategic goals, and transaction scope and risk
