Vanessa Agudelo graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Public Policy and a Minor in Education from Duke University, where she was an Alice M. Baldwin Scholar. As a first–generation student and the daughter of two first–generation Colombian immigrants, Ms. Agudelo developed a young passion for advocacy as she helped her own parents navigate a foreign country and school system.Ms. Agudelo is currently a first–year law student at Harvard Law. Prior to law school, Ms. Agudelo worked as a diversity & inclusion professional at Goldman Sachs, where she focused on driving sustainable diversity & inclusion strategies for the Hispanic/Latinx community at the firm and beyond. Driven by her deep belief in the transformative power of education, she is committed to expanding educational access and equity for all students through law.

KD Harbeck is a graduate with honors from the NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Studies, where he explored the intersection of child development, identity, race, and social justice. Mr. Harbeck currently attends UC Berkeley Law. Previously, Mr. Harbeck was awarded a Fulbright in Hong Kong, was an inaugural fellow for the Alfred Landecker Fellowship. During his undergraduate career, Mr. Harbeck studied abroad in Shanghai and Sydney. He wants to continue having a global education at Berkeley and have a global career in the future.

Jasmine May Lee graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and Criminal Justice from the Douglass Women’s College at Rutgers University. As the first in her family to graduate from college, Ms. Lee plans to continue giving back to her community through mentorship, volunteering, and advocacy. Her interest in the law started when she watched a trial at a local courthouse and it has since grown into a lifelong passion. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she collaborated with organizations to donate PPE to hospitals and elderly homes. She also coordinated over twenty Stop Asian Hate rallies with the flagship rally held at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Ms. Lee is currently a first-year law student at Rutgers Law School in Newark, NJ.

Marco Linares Cordero graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University in 2020 with a B.A. in Political Science and a second major in International Relations. Mr. Linares was born and raised in Havana, Cuba, however, he fled the country at the age of thirteen due to the undue political pressures his family faced at the hands of the regime. Mr. Linares is attending the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School where he is expected to obtain his Juris Doctor degree as well as a Wharton Certificate in Management by 2024.

Gabriela Monico graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Ethnic Studies. Ms. Monicoimmigrated from El Salvador at age 16 and is a first–generation student. Her interest in the law arose when she became involved in the immigrant rights movement in California. Ms. Monico is currently a first–year law student at Yale Law School.

Angel Reed is a Philadelphia native and first-year student at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. She graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in African American Studies and Sociology. In pursuit of her degree, Angel completed a thesis that analyzes the implications of professors’use of racial slurs in academic contexts.

During her time at Georgetown, Angel served as the President of the Black Student Alliance, Secretary of the Minority Pre-Law Association, and Dialogues Coordinator of the Black House. In these roles, she organized programs that cultivated community and celebrated Black culture. Angel also met regularly with the Georgetown administration to advocate for the needs of marginalized students and create a more equitable campus. She is a proud first-generation college graduate and a mentor within the GeorgetownScholars Program, in which she aids first-gen, low-income students in their transition from high school to college.

Throughout undergrad, Angel worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Reed in the Department ofGovernment. In this role, she conducted research about the impacts of tracking in schools and restorative justice practices on marginalized youth for Professor Reed’s upcoming publication. Furthermore, Angelinterned with the non-profit organization Organizing Neighborhood Equity, where she compiled rent relief resources during the height of the pandemic to distribute to low-income residents in D.C.

Angel is humbled to pursue her legal education in honor of trailblazer Dr. Sadie T. M. Alexander, and she is excited to explore new opportunities in this upcoming chapter of her career.

Brittany Warren is currently a law student at the University of Michigan Law School. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and Criminal Justice in 2019 from Mercyhurst University. As an undergraduate, Brittany co–founded the Mercyhurst Chapter of Student Alliance for Prison Reform (SAPR) and led the International Students Organization for an academic year. Following graduation, Brittany worked as a legal assistant then a SEO Law Fellow at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Boston, Massachusetts. Both experiences confirmed her interest in law and invigorated a commitment to diversifying the legal field.

Brittany is also a FIC/UPS Scholar and PNC McMannis Scholar. She is interested in antitrust law, appellate litigation and looks forward to practicing at a law firm with a strong commitment to pro–bono work.
