Minority Corporate Counsel Association President and CEO to Emcee Bar Association Event
Joseph K. West to Lead NBA Corporate Leadership Forum
WASHINGTON D.C. – Joseph K. West, President and CEO of the the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) will be the master of ceremonies for the National Bar Association’s upcoming 2013 Corporate Leadership Forum (CLF) to be held on July 30th at the Fontainebleu Hotel in Miami, Fla. Mr. West will welcome all the attendees and introduce the moderators throughout the day.
The CLF is a one-day forum of interactive roundtable and focused panel presentations that will discuss the issues confronting both general counsel and the outside counsel who serve them. This marks the fifth anniversary of the CLF. It is sponsored by the NBA’s Corporate Law Section and is held during the NBA’s Annual Convention.
Some of the educational and networking opportunities at the 2013 CLF will include:
- A General Counsel Roundtable – attending general counsel will discuss what it takes to be a GC, how to engage and interact with other C-Suite Executives, compliance issues and how to learn what matters to the business client.
- Corporate Briefings – attending general counsel will share information about their in-house legal departments: structure, constraints, RFP process and best practices.
- Pinnacle Awards Luncheon – corporate counsel and leaders in corporate America will be honored.
“The Corporate Leadership Forum has become an important part of the NBA’s Annual Convention for in-house corporate and outside law firm leaders,” said Joe West. “I am honored to be invited to be the master of ceremonies and look forward to taking part in the discussions about the challenges our corporate legal leaders are facing and the techniques that they are employing to solve them.”
