The San Francisco office of ArentFox Schiff LLP is seeking a 4th through 6th year transactional associate to join the firm’s Sports Practice Group. The position will focus on commercial transactions in the sports and entertainment industries and may also include the opportunity to work on other matters in complementary fields, such as real estate, IP, and general corporate work. 

The good faith base salary range for this position is a minimum of $245,000 to a maximum of $340,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, years of relevant experience, education, applicable bar admissions, and the candidate’s overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm.

Qualifications: Candidates with substantial specific experience with sports-related transactions, including naming rights agreements, sponsorship agreements, venue development and operations agreements, advertising or promotional agreements, athletes and entertainer transactions, license agreements, and service agreements, are strongly preferred. But otherwise, qualified candidates who have had experience (although not substantial) with sports and entertainment transactions may also be considered if the candidate has strong, demonstrable transactional skills and experience in other industries. The position offers a rare opportunity to join a nationally recognized, close-knit sports practice in a growing office of a national firm and to work directly with experienced sports partners across the firm to serve a diverse base of sophisticated sports industry clients, including professional sports leagues, teams, venues, operators, athletes and entertainers and media companies. Membership in good standing with the California Bar is required.
