Warren S. Huang has been promoted to partnership in the Houston office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. He has handled appeals in federal and Texas appellate courts from every stage, including the preparation of written briefs and motions, presentation of oral argument, and representation of clients during appellate mediations.
Huang has handled appeals on a pro bono basis in a number of criminal matters, including a death penalty case, as well as matters for the American Bar Association. In addition to handling traditional appeals, Huang works closely with trial counsel by preparing and arguing dispositive motions and other pre-trial motions, trial briefs, jury charges, post-trial motions, and legal memoranda.
Huang received his juris doctorate from Columbia Law School in 1996 and his bachelor of arts from the University of Chicago in 1993. He was licensed to practice law in Texas in 1996, and has since been admitted to practice in all Texas state courts, the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Federal Circuits, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of Texas.
