Philip Morris
Vanessa L. Allen has been named counsel for Philip Morris USA’s commercial law group at the company’s headquarters in Richmond, Va. She will provide legal advice to the company’s information services, purchasing, and database marketing teams. Previously, Allen was vice president and deputy general counsel at Digex, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MCI.
Allen has been active in the Washington Metropolitan Area Corporate Counsel Association, where she helped create last year’s Corporate Scholars Program, which was funded by MCCA®. She has also been selected as a Maryland State Bar Association Leadership Fellow.
Allen earned her bachelor’s degree from Drew University in Madison, N.J., and a JD/ MBA from American University.
