McGuireWoods has named Lisa Ormand Taylor as one of its newest partners. Taylor handles corporate, contract, and transactional issues in the firm’s Jacksonville office.
Taylor served as vice president and corporate secretary of a NYSE-listed company for two years administering the insider trading and section 16 compliance programs as well as providing counsel on securities law and corporate governance issues.
Taylor has also served as the sole in-house attorney for a start-up internet company.
She has spent more than four years with McGuireWoods and the firm it acquired in Jacksonville, FL, working on securities and general corporate matters.
Taylor earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1991 as well as an M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration in Charlottesville, VA. She completed her B.A. at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.
