Ethel Johnson has joined Shook, Hardy & Bacon’s Houston, TX, office as a partner in litigation and policy practice. Ms. Johnson represents clients in all areas of labor and employment law, including complex employment litigation, employee benefits litigation, and labor arbitrations. She also counsels clients on human resources issues, such as discipline and discharge issues, medical leave policies and practices, drug and alcohol abuse, employment agreements, and workplace policy. She is active in several organizations, and frequently speaks at employment–related seminars. She is a member of the Houston Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association, and the National Order of Barristers. Ms. Johnson received her bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from Siena Heights College, and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
