DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary US LLP announced that Darrell Gay has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the Labor and Employment practice group. Prior to joining DLA Piper, he led Coudert Brothers’ Labor and Employment Litigation Group.
Prior to joining Coudert, Gay was a principal in DSGay Law Group PLLC. Gay’s experience in labor and employment includes his service as a commissioner with the New York State Civil Service Commission, tenure as director of labor relations of the Metropolitan Hospital Medical Center, and track record as a trial attorney with the National Labor Relations Board. Gay is the chair and a founding board member of the National Employment Law Council, and is a founding member of the Committee of Minority Labor Lawyers. He served on the board of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA®) and chaired the Labor Law and Commercial Law sections of the National Bar Association. He is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
Gay received his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University. He earned his juris doctorate from Columbia University.
