Ava Lias-Booker has joined the firm of Saul Ewing LLP as a partner in its Baltimore office. Lias-Booker concentrates her practice in complex and general business and financial disputes in both state and federal courts.
A graduate of Duke University and the University of Maryland School of Law, Lias- Booker currently serves on the boards of several civic associations, including the board of directors of the Greater Baltimore Committee’s Leadership Program.
She is past president and current board member of the Citizens Planning and Housing Association and a member of the Board of Visitors of the University of Maryland School of Law. Additionally, she is a member of The Advisory Council for the Center for Business and Technology Cases of the Baltimore City Circuit Court, and serves as chair of the Judicial Administration Section Council of the Maryland State Bar Association.
Lias-Booker was named one of Woodward/White’s “Best Lawyers in America” for 2001-02, named to the Baltimore Business Journal’s “Who’s Who in Law” list in 1999 and selected as one of Maryland’s “Top 100 Women” by The Daily Record in 1997.
