MCCA is excited to announce that Krista Brookman has joined as Senior Vice President, DEI Strategy and Global Client Services for MCCA’s Advisory Practice (M.A.P.) and will be responsible for leading and delivering DEI advisory services for MCCA’s new and existing members to accelerate impact and outcomes.
Sophia Piliouras will transition into a new role and serve as our Chief Operating Officer and will partner with Krista as she leads M.A.P. to provide best-in-class DEI services to our members and prospective members. In her new role, Sophia will continue to help MCCA grow as the leading organization focused on diversity, equity and inclusion strategies in the workplace.
More About Our Newest Team Member: Krista Brookman
Krista joins MCCA from Catalyst, the nonprofit organization focused on accelerating progress for women through workplace inclusion, where she served as vice president, product innovation and strategy, learning and advisory services. In this role, Krista was instrumental in developing the strategy and delivery of skill-based learning and diagnostic products and tools to improve workplace inclusion and drive business DEI outcomes. During her time at Catalyst, Krista led the development of inclusion-focused strategic learning solutions for clients, grew external partnerships, and, in 2014, ran the Catalyst Awards Conference and Dinner. Prior to Catalyst, Krista spent the majority of her career in the legal and professional services industry working at Deloitte, Foley & Lardner and several other law firms.
Krista appreciates that diversity, equity, and inclusion transcends the workplace and is deeply committed to supporting the broader community. She has served as past President of the Mequon-Thiensville School District Board of Education, co-founded the TEMPO Milwaukee Women’s Affinity Alliance, and served on the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast. Krista currently serves on Marquette University’s Institute for Women’s Leadership Advisory Council and is the Education Committee Chair for the NAACP Ozaukee County.
Krista has been recognized for her service and leadership as a Milwaukee Business Journal 40 Under 40, has spoken on a variety of DEI topics including at the Global Competitiveness Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and has been quoted in Fast Company. Krista holds an MBA and BA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
