Minority Corporate Counsel Association CLE Expo Set For March 5-7
Education and Entertainment at San Diego’s Hard Rock Hotel
Washington, D.C. – Members of law firms and corporate legal departments will gather in San Diego March 5-7 to hone their professional skills at the 12th Annual CLE Expo of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA). Set in the Hard Rock Hotel at the entrance of San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter, the event will offer education, networking opportunities and entertainment in an atmosphere committed to inclusiveness.
The CLE Expo brochure and registration information can be found on MCCA’s website, mcca.com/cleexpo2013.
For this year’s expo, MCCA has added a practice management track and skills-building classes to expand attendees’ knowledge base, enhance their value, and increase the profit and efficiency of their organizations. The new classes address topics like creating and using metrics to evaluate the value of staff and departments; project management techniques for lawyers; and best practices and techniques for managing outside counsel. New workshops will help attendees improve their negotiation skills and learn how to mediate disputes.
Attendees can also participate in two new special events:
- The Taste of MCCA, a creative and fun demonstration of food and wine parings. The demonstration will be followed by the presentation of the prestigious Thomas L. Sager Award to a law firm that has demonstrated a sustained commitment to diversity and inclusion. Attendance at this event is included in the expo registration
- An invitation-only networking event bringing together in-house and outside counsel to make valuable connections. Those interested in this event should contact David Chu, MCCA’s Director of Membership, at davidchu@mcca.com.
