CNBC’s Carl Quintanilla to Host Diversity Honors Gala
National Awards Program Set for New York’s Lincoln Center
WASHINGTON – Carl Quintanilla, anchor of CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” program (M-F, 9 am-12 pm ET), will emcee the Diversity Honors Gala in New York City on September 17. Conducted by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) ), the gala will recognize legal departments and law firms from across the country, and MCCA will bestow its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
An Emmy award-winning reporter, Carl Quintanilla previously co-anchored “Squawk Box,” CNBC’s signature morning program. He appears frequently on NBC’s “Today” and “Nightly News,” and has covered a wide range of domestic and international stories, from the California forest fires to the Beijing Olympics.
Taking place at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Diversity Honors Gala will showcase diversity leaders in the legal profession. Five Employers of Choice will be recognized for exemplary commitment to diversity and creating and maintaining an inclusive workplace. MCCA will also recognize diversity innovators, corporate legal departments, law firms or legal bar associations, which implement outstanding diversity programs.
As the highlight of the evening, one person will be honored with MCCA’s Lifetime Achievement Award – someone who has made important and lasting contributions to advancing a society that fully appreciates, celebrates and recognizes the value of diversity.
