Throughout the year, MCCA publicly recognizes a select group of law firms for their diversity efforts. In the pages that follow, Diversity & the Bar® presents profiles of the 2007 recipients of the Thomas L. Sager Award in each of the following geographic regions: South/Southwest, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, West, and Northeast.
Named in honor of the vice president and assistant general counsel of DuPont Company, the Sager Award is presented in each region to recognize the offices of law firms in that region that have demonstrated a sustained commitment to improve the hiring, retention, and promotion of diverse attorneys. The award-winning law firms are acknowledged for diversity results that are ahead of their peers in that geographic region.
These award winners have a lot in common. They have an established foundation for success, commitment starting at the senior management level, and programs that address changing needs of attorneys throughout their careers.
Profiles were written by Heather Bradley, CPCC, and Miriam Bamberger Grogan, CPCC, co-founders of The Flourishing Company.
