MCCA’s Corporate Demographic Survey serves as the equivalent of the Law Firm Diversity Survey for corporate legal departments as a part of our efforts to understand and measure diversity and inclusion strategies, initiatives, and demographic composition to assess how well they hire, retain, and promote underrepresented attorneys over time. We believe that a data-driven approach is vital for the industry to collaborate and advance the legal profession.

- Submit your points of contact (POC) for the Corporate Demographic Survey HERE (we request only one person to submit all POCs).
- Ensure all POCs have added noreply@qemailserver.com, info@mcca.com, and education@mcca.com to their safe sender list.
- The POCs will receive your unique Survey link.
- Submit your response no later than Friday, July 26, 2024 at 11:59PM ET

IS THIS THE SAME SURVEY AS THE U.S. AND GLOBAL LAW FIRM DIVERSITY SURVEY?
No. The U.S. and Global Law Firm Diversity Survey collect data from law firms only. The U.S. Corporate Legal Department Diversity Survey is for corporate legal departments only. Although similar to the Law Firm Survey in format, the Corporate Demographic Survey is shorter, and the questions focus on the unique issues facing corporate legal companies.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE CORPORATE DEMOGRAPHIC SURVEY?
Companies with attorneys in the United States may participate in the Corporate Demographic Survey. The company does not need to be headquartered in the US but must have in-house counsel in the US. This survey is open to both MCCA members and non-members.
IS THERE A FEE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SURVEY?
There is no fee to participate in the survey.
WHEN IS THE CORPORATE DEMOGRAPHIC SURVEY DUE?
Submit your response no later than Friday, July 26, 2024 at 11:59PM ET.
WHAT IF I CANNOT ANSWER A QUESTION DUE TO MY COMPANY’S PRIVACY RULES OR PRIVACY LAWS IN MY COUNTRY?
To the extent you are restricted from asking or providing any information that is set out in the Survey, please answer the questions to the best of your ability, respecting the applicable laws and policies. In such a case, please indicate the restrictions in your reply. You may use the comment boxes under the tables to explain the absence of data (for example, if the firm does not track data for a particular demographic category or there is a restriction that does not allow the firm to share the information requested). We encourage you to answer all your questions.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY SURVEY LINK?
Survey links will be shared with those who have submitted their main POCs HERE.
If you have not received your survey link and it has been more than 2 business days since you submitted your main POCs, please make sure you have checked your spam and added noreply@qemailserver.com to your safe sender’s list. If you still do not have one, please e-mail education@mcca.com.
WHERE CAN I RECEIVE A WORD OR PDF COPY OF THE CORPORATE DEMOGRAPHIC SURVEY?
After you pass the acknowledgements in the survey link, you can download a copy of the survey. Please submit your points of contact HERE so they receive the Corporate Demographic Survey link.
