Nancy Chung handles a wide variety of complex disputes and investigations and crisis management situations that cross the spectrum of commercial, white collar criminal defense, securities and bankruptcy litigation for financial institutions and asset management firms with a global footprint, with a particular emphasis on hedge and private equity investments and other significant sensitive matters for their founders and senior investment professionals.
Nancy is a trusted advisor for leading investment funds and global financial institutions in managing and assessing their litigation risks and developing value-oriented litigation avoidance solutions with regard to their investments, debt offerings, acquisitions, joint ventures and other related transactions on an ongoing basis in the United States and in various foreign jurisdictions, including the United Kingdom and emerging markets in China, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. In that capacity, she has also handled high-profile multi-jurisdictional litigation, arbitrations and internal and other regulatory investigations involving securities fraud, FCPA and other compliance matters.
Nancy received her B.A. in political science and English with honors from Vassar College in 1991 and her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1995. Nancy was a Fulbright Scholar from 1991 to 1992 in Seoul, Korea. During law school, she was a summer law clerk at the Department of Justice.
Nancy is a member of the firm’s Accounting and Finance Committee.
