Wendell Chambliss has been promoted to Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Mission and Anti-Predatory Lending at Freddie Mac. Mr. Chambliss is responsible for providing legal and regulatory advice regarding Freddie Mac’s statutory Charter, affordable housing goals, and other activities connected with fulfilling Freddie Mac’s mission. He also manages the coordination of the company’s anti-predatory lending efforts. Before joining Freddie Mac in 1999, Mr. Chambliss spent 10 years working on Capitol Hill serving both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives as legislative counsel and legislative director to members of the Alabama Delegation. Mr. Chambliss received both his B.A. and J.D. from Tulane University.
