Reginald E. Jones, the former U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commissioner, became Counsel to the DSGay Law Group, PLLC of New York City.
Mr. Jones will continue to focus, as he did at the Commission and as Shareholder at the Ogletree Deakins firm thereafter, on working with employers to find proactive strategies to prevent discrimination and counseling them on using workforce diversity practices and policies to achieve their corporate business objectives.
Prior to the EEOC, Mr. Jones served as Labor and Employment Counsel to the United States Senate Labor Committee. He was also involved in the enactment of labor and employment legislation, including the Civil Rights Act of 1991, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Additionally, for more than a decade Mr. Jones was first an associate and then a partner at the New York City office of the Chicago-based Seyfarth, Shaw law firm.
He earned his law degree from New York University School of Law and his MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business Administration. Mr. Jones earned his B.A. from Yale University.
