Chief Diversity Officer

Paulette Brown, a partner in Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP’s Short Hills, NJ, office, has agreed to serve as the firm’s first Chief Diversity Officer. In this role, Ms. Brown will co-chair the firmwide Diversity Committee and be responsible for all diversity initiatives, including ensuring the hiring and retention of a diverse legal staff. She also will oversee all Women’s Initiative Committee activities. Ms. Brown litigates in both federal and state courts, as well as arbitration forums for unionized and non-union employees. Ms. Brown is a certified mediator for the United States District Court, District of New Jersey. She is known nationally for her efforts on behalf of women of color.
