Kenneth A. Murphy has joined the Philadelphia office of Saul Ewing LLP as a partner in its litigation department. A trial lawyer, Murphy concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation, product liability issues, and insurance insolvency and reinsurance litigation. He has served as lead counsel in cases concerning employment litigation, breach of contract, insurance insolvency, professional malpractice, and defamation. In addition, he has successfully defended claims for defamation, wrongful termination, premises liability, sexual harassment, and interference with contract.
Prior to joining Saul Ewing, Murphy was a shareholder at Miller, Alfano & Raspanti, P.C. He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association Judicial Selection and Retention Commission and a Trustee of the Presbytery of Philadelphia. A native of Philadelphia, Murphy also has displayed a strong commitment to the Philadelphia legal community, particularly to the issues of African American attorneys and their clients. He is the immediate Past President of the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia and is actively involved with the Minority Corporate Counsel Association.
Murphy earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University in 1986 and his law degree from Duke University School of Law in 1989. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
