First Advantage
Julie A. Waters has been appointed vice president and general counsel of First Advantage Corporation, a global risk management solutions provider. As general counsel, Waters will be responsible for negotiating contract relationships with companies that are the subject of acquisition by First Advantage, advising on securities matters, and managing the legal department, which includes regulatory and contract counsel.
Prior to joining First Advantage, Waters was general counsel and secretary for a publicly traded wholesale floral distributor, U.S.A. Floral Products, Inc. She has also worked as in-house corporate counsel for TECO Energy, Inc. and Spalding & Evenflo Companies, Inc.
Waters received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and holds a juris doctorate degree from the George Washington University School of Law in Washington, D.C.
