BENTINA C. TERRY

The Southern Nuclear Operating Company Board of Directors has elected Bentina C. Terry vice president and general counsel. Terry will also be responsible for external affairs at Southern Nuclear, which includes government affairs, corporate communications, and environmental services.

Terry began her career with Southern Company in 2001 at Georgia Power Company as manager of workplace ethics. She has also served as assistant to the president and CEO of Georgia Power and is presently an area distribution manager in the Metro West region.

Prior to joining Southern Company, Terry served as associate general counsel for Progress Energy Service Company. She was also an associate with the Troutman Sanders law firm.

Terry holds a juris doctorate degree from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. in English from North Carolina State University.
