Minority Corporate Counsel Association Honors Pepper Hamilton LLP as Sager Award Winner
Washington, D.C. – The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) honored Pepper Hamilton LLP with its prestigious Thomas L. Sager Award for the Mid-Atlantic Region on June 5, 2012. The presentation took place at the Newseum and was attended by 200 people. Accepting the award on behalf of Pepper Hamilton LLP was Scott Green, CEO, from the Philadelphia office.
Pepper Hamilton LLP received the award for:
- Its commitment to the development of all of its attorneys by creating a professional development program.
- Holding partners accountable in their roles in furthering the firm’s diversity.
- Its competency-based associate development program.
Two other law firms were recognized as finalists during the Regional Network Forum: Duane Morris LLP and WilmerHale.
“MCCA is pleased to acknowledge Pepper Hamilton LLP with the Thomas L. Sager Award,” said Joseph K. West, MCCA President and CEO. “They have gone beyond ‘having a diversity program’ by working to make inclusion part of their daily culture. Everyone is encouraged and enabled to work up to their full potential. This is an example the entire legal industry would do well to follow.”
