Position: Real Estate Associate

Description: Dentons US LLP is seeking a mid-level associate to join our sophisticated and highly regarded Real Estate practice in our New York office. Candidates should have 4-6 years of commercial real estate transactional experience and excellent academic credentials. The person hired for this position will work collaboratively with our partners and clients on a variety of complex transactional matters, including work related to:
- Real estate finance transactions of all types
- Real estate acquisitions and dispositions and commercial leasing
Expected responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Contributing to the coordination and execution of a broad range of complex transactional matters such as real estate financing, acquisitions and sales, asset-based lending and commercial leasing
- Working on closing financings, acquisitions, sales, leases, joint ventures and the development of real property
- Performing due diligence, general research and writing
- Supporting the practice by managing and training junior associates

Qualifications:
Personal skills/attributes:
- Possesses outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Has excellent written communication skills with an ability to produce clear and thoughtful written work product
- Is comfortable managing multiple workloads and can prioritize work effectively
- Has strong interpersonal skills
- Values teamwork and working in a collaborative environment
Technical skills
- 4-6 years of commercial real estate transactional experience is required
- Previous law firm experience is required
- Real estate finance experience is required
- Lender side financing experience is a plus
- Experience with disposition, leasing, mortgage and mezzanine financing, capital markets, and structured finance is a plus
Other requirements
- Must be licensed to practice law in the State of New York and be in good standing
- Must include a law school transcript with application
Pursuant to New York law, the salary range for this position in New York City will be $310,000 to $390,000, based on experience. Based on years of experience, Dentons US LLP associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate.
