The Thomas L. Sager Award (“Sager Award”) honors large Am Law 200 firms (500+ attorneys) that champion a more inclusive workforce and have demonstrated a sustained commitment to improving the opportunities available to attorneys of all backgrounds. Established in 1999, the award is named for former DuPont General Counsel Thomas L. Sager, who championed opportunity and access as drivers of stronger companies.

Sager Award finalists and winners are selected based on standout submissions to MCCA’s annual State of the Legal Profession report. Since 2004, the report has gathered data from hundreds of top law firms, highlighting pipeline gaps and offering actionable insights to advance a more equal legal profession.
