ARCADIS, the international design, consulting, engineering, and management services company, has hired Gary L. Armstead as associate general counsel to lead the litigation and claims team. Armstead brings nearly a decade of legal experience from both the private and government sectors in the creation and execution of cost-effective risk management programs, practices, and litigation management to ARCADIS. He will also supervise outside counsel and operation risk management teams to effectively mitigate costs and maintain an organized litigation portfolio for all aspects of ARCADIS’ practice. Prior to joining ARCADIS, Armstead served as the Assistant Attorney General for the Colorado Department of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Xavier University in New Orleans, La., and his J.D. from the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, La.
