The Morgan Lewis Investment Management Practice represents a wide range of private investment fund managers and institutional investors located throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. We represent all types of domestic and off-shore private investment funds and other alternative funds across a broad range of investment and financing strategies, including secondary funds, customized and captive funds, crossover funds, hybrid hedge/private equity funds, and funds of funds, as well as many of the largest and most active institutional investors. We advise on all major issues that managers face at every stage of their development including those relating to startups, spin-outs, mergers and acquisitions, employment, immigration and intellectual property and advise our clients in virtually every major global tax jurisdiction.

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have three to four years’ experience with M&A, private fund, and private equity transactional matters. This is a great opportunity for any lawyer with a private equity fund or hedge fund background as well as a great opportunity for an M&A lawyer looking to retool into the Investment Management space. The responsibilities of the position primarily include work on secondary transactions, including reviewing purchase and sale agreements, transfer agreements, co-investments, and client management. Additional responsibilities will include assisting with investments by institutional investors in private funds and co-investments, as well as the formation of global investment funds. Candidates must possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong organization, drafting, communication, and analytical skills.
