Position: Tax Law, Associate Counsel

Description: This role is the primary tax advisor for Vanguard’s three client facing business units which service retail investors, institutional investors, and financial advisors respectively. Key responsibilities include tax advice regarding information reporting and withholding, tax-informed investment advice, and published tax materials for clients and advisors. This role also has primary responsibility for tax advice regarding all aspects of crew compensation and benefits, including design and implementation, as well as information reporting and withholding.

Qualifications:
- Three or more years of relevant professional experience as an attorney;
- Excellent judgment, counseling, and negotiation skills, coupled with highly effective relationship management skills;
- Ability to analyze complex tax laws and regulations and to communicate relevant implications in clear, actionable language;
- Ability to balance business and legal needs and manage multiple projects.
