Position: Insurance Coverage Staff Associate

Description: Dentons US LLP is seeking a Staff Associate with 0-2 years of legal experience to join our sophisticated Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. We are accepting applications from California licensed attorneys for the following office locations: California (all), Hawai`i (all), Kansas City and St. Louis. The Staff Associate will work collaboratively with partners and associates and be a key member of the team, and can expect to assume such responsibilities as:

  • Drafting and preparing motions and papers and other litigation documents
  • Writing coverage opinions, researching insurance issues, monitoring insurance litigation
  • Conducting legal research
  • Assisting with document production
  • Working on all aspects of discovery
  • Assisting with all aspects of pretrial to trial

Qualifications:

  • Has excellent research and organizational skills, as well as strong oral and written communication abilities
  • Can effectively communicate research into meaningful written work product
  • Possesses strong writing and analytical skills
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and is able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Embraces teamwork and values collaboration
  • 0-2 years of legal experience
  • Experience with insurance coverage is a plus
  • Previous law firm experience is a plus
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus
  • Should be licensed to practice law in the State of California and be in good standing
