Position: Government Contracts Associate

Description: Dickinson Wright is seeking a Government Contracts junior associate in its Washington, DC office to join our collaborative, thriving and growing government contracts group. We counsel clients in bidding for, complying with, and defending federal contracts. We litigate protests and claims, handle sensitive investigations, counsel clients on their most important ethics and compliance issues, and advise on contracts, federal grants, and subcontracts.
Our clients range from the large, medium, and small government contractors, to recipients and sub-recipients of substantial government grants, to investors in the public procurement market. Our clients turn to us for our experience in navigating the Federal Acquisition Regulation, DFARS and our hard legal skill, hands-on experience, and partnering with our clients to achieve their goals.

Qualifications: The successful candidate should have one, two or three years of government contracts legal experience and can expect to work on a wide variety of matters. Duties include legal research, writing, client counseling, and other advocacy before a variety of governmental agencies.
- Candidate should be a detail-oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong academic credentials are required.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment is essential.
- Membership, or ability to waive in, to DC Bar required.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $170,000 to $250,000. Please note that a variety of factors determine compensation, including geographic location, experience, relevant degrees and certifications, and other applicable factors authorized by law. This position also qualifies for an annual merit-based bonus.
